We, at E. Neophytou Trading Ltd, with respect to our people and our community, during these challenging times with the ongoing pandemic we put people first. The safety and the well-being of our employees and associates has been our top priority since the beginning of the Covid -19 pandemic.
As the outbreak emerged, we initiated the protocols of our established Risk Management Program, in which we included guidance information from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Cypriot Government and Health Services. This helped to ensure the business continuity during difficult times and reassured us that we can stay strong under adverse conditions.
We are committed to providing a safe environment for our employees and their families. Initially we asked from the majority of our office – based employees to work from home to reduce transmission risk and keep them safe. Most of them have now return to the office in line with the local prevention measures announced by the Cypriot Ministry of Health.
Our plant remained open for manufacturing. Extra precautions were taken to protect the on-site workforce, with:
- the implementation of enhanced personal hygiene practices,
- the provision of appropriate training,
- the supply of disinfection solutions and protective face masks,
- the implementation of restrictions in conference room usage,
- the encouragement for on-line meetings,
- the adhesion to the social distancing guidance,
- temperature screening,
- signs encouraging people to follow the instructions
We discourage the on-site visits (contractors and partners) and during those essential on-site meetings we take all necessary measures to ensure everyone’s safety; we encourage our visitors to report any suspicious symptoms and we screen their temperature upon their arrival, we keep our distances during the meetings following the guidance and airing the conference rooms often.
As conditions permit, many of these precautions may be eased, but this will always be done with employee and associate safety as our primary objective.
Finally, we express our gratitude to the frontline workers, and we show them our support be following and encourage our community to follow the announced by the Government measures.
