In 1975, Evangelos founded E. Neophytou Trading Co Ltd branded as Serano. Serano has grown to be the leading company of the industry on the island providing its products and acquiring over 3000 clients locally. His determination for excellence has made him into one of the most successful businessmen in Cyprus. In addition to overseeing the general operation of all the departments, Mr. Neophytou specializes in the selection and quality of the products locally grown and imported.
Deputy Managing Director
Olga Neophytou co-founded Serano in 1975 and is still working, assuming the leading position of Deputy Managing Director. Olga has been rigorously involved in developing and simultaneously working in all areas of the company. She is experienced in training new staff and provides expert advice to members of staff and clients on issues concerned with manufacturing and selling products. Over the last years, Olga has been responsible for overlooking the Financial Department of the company and specifically, the payroll system.
Maria was the first of the second generation to join the company in 1987 and has headed many departments since then including, Accounting, Human Resources, Public Relations and Marketing. Maria was project manager when SAP (Systems, Applications and Products) was introduced in the company in 2012. At present, she holds the position of Logistics Manager and is responsible for WMS (Warehouse Management System). She is also responsible for managing various projects, provides training and training documentation for our clients and is responsible for the implementation of the company’s logistics and procedures. During the course of her career at Serano, Maria managed a wide range of projects for a great number of clients, and provided solutions created to satisfy the business needs of our clients.
Yiannis is a leading expert in the export and sales area and holds the position of Commercial Director since 1997. He obtained both his BSc and MSc in the field of Business Administration graduating in the USA. Yiannis’ main responsibilities lie in the areas of sales, both local and international, and exports with clientele in over 20 countries worldwide. Yiannis’ many years of experience in these fields is mainly responsible for the success of Serano holding 85% of Cyprus’ retail stores.
Director of Operation and Development
Antonis holds the position of Operation and Development director having joined the company in 1997. He acquired both his BSc and MSc in the USA in the field of Business Administration running many departments within the company since then. He is currently responsible for the purchasing department, overlooks and monitors areas concerned with production and quality control. Antonis has also headed the planning and building of the new state of the art factory.
Michalis Solomonides is a certified accountant and a member of the ACCA. He is the financial controller of Serano since 2011 and an active member of the board of directors. His experience includes over 10 years in audit firms, in the audit department, and he also served as a financial controller for a well-known electronics firm for another 10 years.
Local Sales General Manager
Mr. Rousos has been with Serano since its creation in 1975 and currently holds the position of Local Sales Manager. Having over 40 years of experience in the field his expertise and input is vital to the sales of the Company. Mr. Rousos began his career at Serano as a salesman and moved his way up having trained and worked in all areas within the sales department. Mr. Rousos’ responsibilities include close communication with all 3000 local customers and the monitoring and coordination of over 40 Salesmen.
Andreas is the first of the third generation to join the Serano team in the Marketing Department. Since joining the company in 2014, Andreas has been involved in many new projects vital to the development and upgrade of the company's digital marketing, such as the Company’s website, corporate video and social media, as well as carrying out promotional events .
Quality Assurance Executive
Since joining the company recently in 2014 as Quality Assurance Executive, Melanie Sotiriou is responsible for the day to day monitoring and running of the laboratories and handling of the products. Melanie is a specialized food technologist having studied and worked in France for a number of years gaining experience in the areas of quality control and food inspection.
In addition to managing the day-to-day operations of the Department, she is also responsible for managing various projects and is involved in the creation and development of new products.
Andreas El Sheikh
Andreas El Sheikh is a Business Administration MIS graduate of University of Nicosia. He has been working in SERANO since 2008 as an IT Support and Sales Analyst. Now he is coordinating Exports Department ensuring correct export documentation issued with on time destination delivery and collaborating with transporters, forwarders and shipping lines.
Olga is the second from the third generation included in the company. Olga studied accounting (BSc) at University of Nicosia and joined directly the family business. Like all new members of the family follows a five-year adjustment program, which will be trained in all the departments of the company. Currently she is working in the Logistics department.
Known to friends and family as a passionate artist since she was a child. After graduating from European University of Cyprus with a bachelor’s degree in Graphic and Advertising Design, she worked for five years as a design professional, she held the various creative positions of Graphic Designer and Art Director, gaining valuable experience by developing original design thinking, original creative ideas and concepts. As a result to gain recognition in the area of Graphic Design from the beginning of her career.
Since joining the company recently in 2015, Dimitra developed many new projects, like logos, labels, posters , packaging ideas ,catalogues and she is active in most of the advertising campaigns. She enjoys the creative challenge and pushing herself to produce the best work possible.
Sales Executive Administrator
Stephanos has been the newest member of the company and his position is Sales Executive Administrator. He is responsible for monitoring and improving the functions of the sales department through preparation of sales reports, coordination with other departments and communication with customers.
